Job Description
  • We are seeking a Geotechnical Engineer to undertake field and office-based assignments, ensuring tasks are completed to quality and safety standards.
  • Responsibilities include assisting in the preparation of geotechnical designs, technical reports, specifications, and engineering drawings.
  • The successful candidate will interpret field and laboratory data to support the development of geotechnical models and design recommendations.
  • They will coordinate the accurate entry, validation, and ongoing management of geotechnical data within project databases.
  • Clear, well-structured technical reports and documentation are required for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Field and office-based assignments.
  2. Geotechnical designs and technical reports.
  3. Data interpretation and model development.
  4. Data management and reporting.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A relevant degree in Geology, Geoscience, Civil Engineering or related field.
  • 2+ years experience working in a Geo role, ideally on mining, rail or infrastructure projects.
  • Exposure to geotechnical data management packages, such as OpenGround, gINT, and GIS applications, such as GlobalMapper.
  • A willingness to participate in regular field work.
  • An ability to work cohesively within a team-driven environment.
  • Strong report writing and excellent communication skills.
