Job Role: Geotechnical Specialist

Geotechnical Engineer Job Description:

This is an opportunity to work as a Geotechnical Engineer, where your expertise will play a pivotal role in understanding ground conditions and delivering high-quality infrastructure projects. You will be responsible for providing accurate geotechnical analyses, working closely with clients and project engineers to understand and define project requirements.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Communicate effectively with clients and project engineers to gather project information.
  • Plan, specify, and manage site investigations and laboratory testing programs.
  • Develop site safety management plans and ensure compliance during investigation works.
  • Analyse field and laboratory data to provide accurate geotechnical analyses.
  • Prepare detailed geotechnical reports and contribute to the development of client relationships.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A recognised tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering and eligibility for Chartership with Engineers Australia (or equivalent).
  • Strong knowledge of geotechnical engineering design and industry-standard software such as LPile, Plaxis, and AutoCAD.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in geotechnical design and construction, with a focus on large infrastructure or buildings projects.
  • Excellent planning, organisation, and communication skills, with the ability to deliver solutions under limited supervision.
  • A proactive and client-focused attitude, with the ability to foster positive relationships and support team development.
