About the Role

As a Logistics Manager at David Jones, you will be responsible for overseeing the efficient management of in-store fulfillment, inventory, and stock loss management processes. You will lead a team to achieve excellence by collaborating with store teams and ensuring merchandise is readily available for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Empower team members to ensure seamless and timely goods inbound and outbound processes, including receiving, ticketing, and security tagging.
  • Maintain the dock and reserve drop-off areas.
  • Prepare for deliveries and high intake of goods, ensuring task rotation amongst the Logistics team.
  • Assess and action store reports and investigate stock variances.
  • Complete tasks associated with the Stock Loss Management process.
  • Promote effective waste management practices.
  • Uphold effective Work, Health and Safety (WHS) practices relating to the Logistics function.
  • Build strong internal and external stakeholder relationships.
  • Inspire and develop the Logistics team to build individual capability.
Requirements

We are seeking an inspirational leader with strong people management skills, experience in a similar role within a retail environment, and the ability to lead a large team. You should thrive on teamwork and collaboration, possess excellent stakeholder management skills, and have strong written, listening, and spoken communication skills.

You should be able to multi-task, use initiative, and be self-motivated, with strong organisation and prioritisation skills and the ability to meet targets. You should also be solutions-focused with strong problem-solving skills, have strong attention to detail coupled with analytical skills, and be flexible and adaptable to a fast-paced and evolving environment.
