We are seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our team as a Fleet Mechanic. This role is perfect for someone looking to take their career to the next level with a reputable company that values growth and development.

In this position, you will be responsible for servicing, repairing, and maintaining the PENSKE Rental and Leasing fleet. Your duties will include:

  • Ensuring vehicles are presentable, reliable, and compliant with NHVL regulations;
  • Managing a small stock of inventory and maintaining a clean and tidy workshop environment;
  • Maintaining the fleet's aesthetic appearance through washing, cleaning, and detailing;
  • Ensuring compliance with statutory and legislative requirements;
  • Diagnosing, repairing, and implementing strategies to maximize fleet availability while controlling costs;
  • Identifying and recommending preventative maintenance on equipment;
  • Coordinating workload and ensuring servicing of vehicles aligns with OEM/company scheduled maintenance programs;
  • Traveling and assisting in field service activities as required.

Your Skills and Experience

  • Completion of appropriate trade qualification, preferably mechanical trade certificate;
  • Previous experience in servicing heavy vehicles/road transport (preferable);
  • Ability to work unsupervised and autonomously with a strong safety focus;
  • HR License (Preferred but not necessity);
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal) and ability to communicate effectively;
