Are you a skilled Diesel Mechanic looking for a new challenge? We have an exciting opportunity for a Fleet Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Penske Transportation Solutions.

As a Fleet Maintenance Specialist, you will be responsible for servicing, repairing, and maintaining our fleet of vehicles. This will include ensuring the fleet is presentable, reliable, and compliant with NHVL regulations.

Your duties will include:

  • Repair of vehicles as required and ensuring all required paperwork is completed and accurate;
  • Managing a small stock of inventory and maintaining a clean and tidy workshop;
  • Maintaining the fleet to a high aesthetic appearance by washing, cleaning, and detailing;
  • Ensuring compliance with statutory and legislative requirements;
  • Diagnosing, repairing, and implementing strategies to maximise fleet availability while controlling costs;
  • Identifying and recommending preventative maintenance on equipment;
  • Coordinating your workload and ensuring servicing of vehicles is in accordance with the OEM/company scheduled maintenance program;
  • The ability to travel and assist in field service activities as required.

Your skills and experience

  • Completion of an appropriate trade qualification, preferably a mechanical trade certificate;
  • Previous experience in servicing heavy vehicles/road transport (preferable);
  • Ability to work unsupervised and autonomously with a strong safety focus;
  • HR License (Preferred but not necessary);
  • Strong communication skills are essential (written and verbal) and the ability to communicate effectively;
