About the Role

In this position, you will report into the Data Science Lead and work as part of a high-performing, technical team serving as a trusted advisor by cultivating relationships with stakeholders and across Advanced Analytics teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Shape and drive the AA values within the team.
  • Share knowledge and experience across the team.
  • Participate in the development of the vision for data/analytics architecture.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders in Analytics, Commercial, and IT streams to deliver valuable solutions to key business problems.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor by cultivating relationships with stakeholders to improve their understanding and knowledge of analytical techniques and outcomes.
  • Effective communication with key stakeholders around the delivery of key projects.
  • Prioritization of analytics projects – ensuring key stakeholder collaboration to ensure projects are prioritized in-line with overall business priorities.
  • Design and implement new algorithms to meet business needs.
  • Lead projects to deliver on time and high quality.
  • Work according to the agile project methodology.
  • Source, develop, and apply new and existing analytical methods and techniques.
  • Use of a variety of sources to keep abreast of industry practices.
  • Ensure key stakeholders are updated, ensuring the commercial impact has been explored/communicated.
About You

We're looking for a highly experienced technologist with 12+ years of experience, 7+ years of SRE experience, and experience leading a team of SRE's. You should have experience programming in at least one of the following languages: Python, R, Perl, Go, or C/C++. Experience in CI/CD, Kubernetes Cluster management, monitoring, and ability to fix both application and infrastructure issues is also required.

You should also have experience with cloud-native languages, administering configuration of all software services into various different environments, supervising all application packing processes, and maintaining optimal quality for all applications. Ability to operate in a resourceful and independent manner, documentation skills, and experience with technical products are also essential.

A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Econometrics, Applied Statistics, Physics, Engineering, or related field is preferred. Business and commercial acumen is also highly valued.
