About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Science Engineer to join our team at Coles Group. As a key member of our Advanced Analytics and Artificial Intelligence teams, you will work closely with stakeholders to cultivate relationships and drive digital transformation and optimization solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Design, build, and maintain cloud infrastructure at large scale and high complexity.
  2. Troubleshoot and solve complex technical issues at the infrastructure layer.
  3. Develop and maintain code for custom infrastructure services, primarily in Python.
  4. Present technical infrastructure solutions to solve business use cases.
  5. Document and showcase technical features or fixes.
Requirements
  1. 4+ years of experience in Cloud and DevOps engineering, with a total of 8+ years in the field.
  2. Strong cloud skills, preferably with Microsoft Azure.
  3. Strong DevOps skills, preferably with Microsoft Azure DevOps.
  4. Skills in infrastructure design.
  5. Some Linux/bash skills required.
  6. Ability to operate in a resourceful and independent manner.
  7. Documentation skills.
  8. Experience with technical products – Terraform, Ansible, Python, Docker, Kubernetes, Databricks, Artifactory.
  9. Productivity applications - Git, Jira, Confluence.
Desirable Qualifications

Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Econometrics, Applied Statistics, Physics, Engineering or related field.

Business and commercial acumen.
