About the Role

As a Senior Data Engineer, you will play a key role in designing and maintaining our data pipelines and architecture, ensuring the integrity and performance of our data lake. You will collaborate with our Data Science, Reporting, and Analytics teams to build scalable and reliable data infrastructure, and contribute to the development of new tools and technologies to support our business initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Design and maintain data pipelines and architecture to support business initiatives
  • Collaborate with Data Science, Reporting, and Analytics teams to build scalable and reliable data infrastructure
  • Develop and maintain data ingestion and processing systems, including Third-Party APIs
  • Ensure data integrity and performance of our data lake
  • Take ownership of projects and collaborate with other members of the Analytics and Reporting teams
  • Adapt to new technologies and frameworks, and contribute to the investigation of their usefulness to the team

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in data or software engineering
  • Strong knowledge of Python, streaming technologies (e.g. Kafka), Docker, Kubernetes, relational databases, and SQL
  • Experience building out scalable infrastructure to fit the needs of a growing company
  • Experience with data ingestion and processing, including Third-Party APIs
  • Experience with Red Shift, Big Query, or other SQL-based data warehouses
  • Experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, GCP, Azure)
  • Strong organization and collaboration skills
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills
