About this role: We're seeking a proactive and collaborative safety and wellbeing professional to join our team.
Job Overview:- This person will be responsible for partnering with internal and external stakeholders, managing all safety and wellbeing initiatives across the country.
- Lead the technical and subject matter expertise component of the People team, ensuring systems, processes, data, and documentation are fit for purpose and meet internal and external requirements.
- Develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures in line with relevant legislation and industry best practice for all.
- Develop and execute safety, health, and wellbeing training and awareness programs to promote a strong safety culture across the organization.
- Manage crisis situations, conduct investigations on all incidents and accidents, developing recommendations for improvement.
- Responsible for owning all communications relating to safety, health, and wellbeing, ensuring content is engaging and appropriate to leaders and teams.
- Responsible for reporting and data integrity, managing safety, health, and wellbeing data, analytics, and insights.
- Lead, develop, and enhance relationships with state and territory regulators in collaboration with state-based teams.
- Relevant qualifications in Health and Safety and experience working in a fast-paced environment. Experience in hospitality, FMCG, or retail is highly desirable.
- Strong technical safety, health, and wellbeing skills and experience, including systems, reporting, risk, and project management.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing health and safety policies and procedures.
- Solid understanding of State and Territory legislative requirements and ability to keep up to date with new safety and wellbeing trends and approaches.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence leaders and key stakeholders through effective relationship building, influencing, and coaching.
