About the Role

We are on the lookout for a Senior Project Engineer specializing in Signalling to become a part of our expanding Rail Operations team located in Sydney.

Rail Operations is a dedicated unit within Laing O'Rourke, focusing exclusively on all facets of Rail, collaborating with a team of specialists to manage a substantial portfolio of projects throughout New South Wales.

Key Responsibilities

  • Overseeing on-site engineering activities to ensure project objectives related to cost, time, quality, and sustainability are met safely.
  • Supporting the Project Manager by taking direct responsibility for the delivery aspects of assigned work packages, ensuring projects are completed within budget, on time, and to quality and sustainability standards.
  • Guiding, evaluating, and mentoring project engineers and site engineers directly reporting to you on the project.

About You

  • Possess a degree in an Engineering Discipline (Civil / Mechanical / Electrical) or Construction Management, with Chartered Professional Engineer status or equivalent.
  • Have a minimum of 10 years' experience in the Engineering/Construction sector.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of Railway Engineering Standards & Specifications, Modern Signalling Technology, and Signalling Principles.
  • Bring experience from the Rail Industry.
  • Hold a valid construction Green/white card.
