About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Signalling Project Engineer to join our Rail Operations team in Sydney and Perth.

Rail Operations is a business unit within Laing O'Rourke, specialising in rail delivery, working with technical experts to deliver a high portfolio of work across Australia.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate railway signalling construction and installation activities to achieve project objectives
  • Manage signalling design contractors and the design process
  • Ensure interface between design, procurement, site works, and testing & commissioning meet project requirements
  • Review signalling design drawings, reports, and data to ensure correctness and alignment with stakeholders
  • Ensure rail safety assurance processes are followed
  • Provide technical support to Laing O'Rourke rail projects as required
  • Adhere to and promote Laing O'Rourke health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures

About You

  • You will have a relevant engineering degree
  • Significant experience in the Engineering/Construction field
  • Knowledge of Railway Engineering standards & specifications
  • Knowledge of modern signalling technology
  • Knowledge of Signalling Principles
  • Experience in a similar role
