Role Overview

The Recreation & Wellbeing Coordinator will oversee the delivery of person-first leisure and lifestyle programs. This role requires managing a team responsible for promoting emotional and physical rehabilitation through recreational activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage Recreational Activities Officers with excellent leadership skills.
  • Provide quality care and support residents to maintain skill levels, independence, and mobility.
  • Collaborate with other team members to plan and organize recreational activity programs.
  • Ensure individual resident needs, values, spiritual, and cultural preferences are considered when providing care.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

  • Cert IV in Leisure and Lifestyle (desirable) or degree-level qualifications.
  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in aged or community care settings.
  • Senior First Aid Certificate.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
