Seeking a Team Player for Leisure and Lifestyle Role
- This is an opportunity to join our team as a Leisure and Lifestyle Assistant, working with a patient-centred focus to plan and conduct activities programs for an aged population, including residents with diverse physical and cognitive impairments.
- As a key member of our care team, you will work collaboratively with colleagues to foster the exchange of ideas and encourage participation in achieving person-centred care outcomes.
- Effective communication is essential in this role, requiring strong written and verbal skills to engage with staff at all levels, residents, families and visitors.
- A Certificate IV in Community Services (Lifestyle and Health) or equivalent qualification is required.
- Current Level 2 First Aid certification is also necessary.
- Self-motivated individuals who can apply their skills and knowledge independently and adapt to diverse situations are highly sought after.
- Experience in residential aged care, combined with strong interpersonal skills, enables successful applicants to build rapport with residents, families and healthcare teams.
- The ability to provide high-quality care to clients with varying needs is crucial in this role.
- Applicants should be committed to upholding the Charter of Residents Rights and Responsibilities.
- Proficiency in computer software and keyboard skills is also required.
- A valid driver's license is essential for travel between locations.
