About the Leisure and Lifestyle Assistant Role

This is a unique opportunity to work in an aged care setting where you will be responsible for planning and conducting activities programs that cater to the diverse needs of our residents. As a patient-centred assistant, you will work collaboratively with the care team to foster a person-centred approach to care.

  • Key responsibilities include planning and implementing activities that are tailored to the preferences and abilities of our residents.
  • You will also work closely with the care team to ensure seamless interactions and effective communication with staff, residents, families, and visitors.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A Certificate IV in Community Services (Lifestyle and Health) or equivalent qualification is required for this role.
  • In addition to your qualifications, you will need to have current Level 2 First Aid certification and the ability to apply skills and knowledge independently in response to diverse situations.
  • Prior experience working in residential aged care settings is highly desirable, as is excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • You will also need to possess sound computer knowledge and keyboard skills, as well as a full driver's license.
