Compliance Specialist Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled professional to ensure the organization maintains the highest standards of compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of compliance principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in performing internal reviews, research, and audits to verify compliance with government laws, client requirements, and organizational policies.
  • Document findings and organize data for identification of potential risk areas.
  • Stay informed of applicable rule and regulation changes in the healthcare and pharmaceutical industries.
  • Coordinate with departments to ensure all applicable documents are reviewed and revised within specified timeframes.
  • Perform document control functions, including tracking, processing, review, formatting, distribution, and archiving of documents.
  • Evaluate document organization, proofread, and provide additional quality checks before document finalization.
  • Assist in reviewing and managing third-party audits.
  • Verify compliance with insurer rules, Medicare, Medicaid, HIPAA, and other applicable regulations.
  • Assist in Incident Management and CAPA process.
  • Conduct enterprise-wide Risk Assessment.
  • Receive, investigate, and resolve compliance and/or privacy-related complaints or concerns.
  • Maintain Compliance & Privacy logs as required.
  • Assist in training efforts and initiatives.

Requirements:

  • CHC or other relevant certifications preferred.
  • Computer skills: Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio. Experience with Jira Service Desk a plus.
  • High degree of emotional intelligence.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
