Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented professional to fill a Software Quality Assurance Specialist role. In this position, you will collaborate closely with our development team to ensure the delivery of high-quality software products.

About the Role:

  • You will be responsible for thoroughly testing changes and new features across our platforms.
  • Creating detailed test plans and documentation to track outcomes is a key aspect of this role.
  • Liaising with developers and other stakeholders to have defects and quality issues corrected is also essential.
  • Ensuring that the final work product meets all the requirements of the feature's scope is critical.
  • Validating and verifying that features and functions are working as intended is another key responsibility.
  • Additionally, you will educate software engineers on common defects and mentor them in improving their own self-testing abilities.

Key Requirements:

  • A minimum of one to three years' experience working within the software development life cycle is required.
  • You must be extremely detail oriented and able to identify user experience problems.
  • A good understanding of software development and programming is essential.
  • Curiosity and the ability to think outside the box to determine niche edge cases is highly valued.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to assist in debugging complex issues are necessary.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are also required.
  • Familiarity with command-line interfaces and Linux environments is beneficial.
  • An excellent understanding of relational databases, particularly MySQL, and confident writing SQL queries is crucial.
  • The ability to create specific test scenarios through manual manipulation is also important.
  • Experience with RESTful APIs and SOAP Web Services is highly desirable.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with QA software such as SoapUI, Postman, BurpSuite, ZAP, Fiddler is a plus.
  • Experience with project management tools such as Jira and Trello is also beneficial.
  • Knowledge of the Domain Names and Web Hosting industry is valuable.
  • Familiarity with Git (including GitHub) and version control is highly desirable.
