Production Engineering RoleAbout This Opportunity

This role presents an exciting opportunity to join our operations team as a Production Engineer, contributing to the development and documentation of production processes and activities.

As a key member of our team, you will work collaboratively with stakeholders to define assembly line layouts, provide technical support for manufacturing process definition, and troubleshoot issues. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining our Materials Requirements Planning (MRP) system to effectively manage Bill of Materials (BoM) and ensure accurate material allocation to relevant teams.

Main Responsibilities
  • Process Development: Develop and document all production processes and activities in accordance with industry standards.
  • Maintenance: Maintain Manufacturing Work Instructions (MWI) and ensure their accuracy and relevance.
  • MRP System Management: Effectively manage the MRP system (SAP) to maintain up-to-date BoM information and allocate materials correctly.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders, including Production, Configuration, Quality, and Engineering departments.
  • Assembly Line Design: Define the layout of various assembly lines, considering factors such as material delivery points, racking, assembly equipment, and specialist tooling.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical assistance for manufacturing process definition, process tuning, and troubleshooting.
Requirements
  • Tertiary Qualifications: Hold tertiary qualifications in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Process) or a related discipline.
  • Lean and Process Improvement: Possess experience working with Lean and process improvement manufacturing tools and techniques, preferably in a similar industry.
  • ERP/MRP Systems: Have experience working with ERP/MRP systems (preferably SAP) to create Product Structure Data (PSD), routings, standard networks, etc.
  • Root Cause Analysis: Be proficient in Root Cause Analysis, including methodologies like Process Failure Modes and Effects Analysis.
  • MS Excel Skills: Possess advanced skills in MS Excel.
