
Information Document Specialist

The Assistant Information Officer plays a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless delivery of documents in response to legal processes. This position necessitates exceptional communication and negotiation skills, as well as meticulous attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure.
Key Responsibilities
- Receiving and processing subpoenas, summonses, and notices served upon the Commissioner, verifying that the documents are formatted correctly and comply with relevant legislative requirements.
- Processing complex legal processes, including criminal matters, and checking for privileged material within specified timeframes.
- Liaising and consulting with internal and external clients and organizations regarding specific legal processes.
- Providing expert advice to Legal Officers on objections raised on behalf of the Commissioner, ensuring effective representation in subsequent legal proceedings.
- Offering guidance to senior information officers on matters impacting the efficient delivery of documents in response to legal processes.
Requirements
