Lead Specialist Case Manager

This role offers the opportunity to provide critical support and advice to stakeholders in the Victorian Public Service.

The position provides expertise in case management, staff supervision, training, and mentoring across a service stream of residents, including violent and sexual offenders and post-sentence supervision.

The Lead Specialist Case Manager will require broad and extensive case management expertise for oversight of case management practices and the capability to provide effective staff supervision, training, and mentoring.

Key duties include:

  • Providing direct line management, professional development, leadership, and supervision of Specialist Case Managers responsible for case managing residents within the identified offender group.
  • Progressing and monitoring the shifting nature of violent and sexual offender management to align with best practice literature and research of offender rehabilitation in the management of violent and sexual offenders, and in accordance with the CV's Offender Management Framework.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Extensive experience in the case management of complex and/or high-risk individuals.
  • Expert understanding of and experience in best practice initiatives in relation to risk management and therapeutic work with high-risk and complex individuals.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and experience working within a legislative framework.
  • A tertiary qualification in a relevant field is desirable.
