Rehabilitation Specialist Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Rehabilitation Consultant to work with Department of Veterans Affairs clients in the Gippsland area.

  • Care coordination and case management for individuals with physical and/or psychological conditions
  • Client assessment and rehabilitation need identification
  • Personalized rehabilitation plan development and implementation to support successful transition from military to civilian life
  • Home and daily living assessments
  • Return-to-work and non-return-to-work plan development, including vocational assessments and psychosocial activities
  • Evidence-based early intervention and occupational rehabilitation services delivery
  • Motivational interviewing to enhance engagement in meaningful occupations
  • Collaboration with key stakeholders within a multidisciplinary clinical setting
  • High-level written reporting completion

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • Tertiary qualification in Psychology, Counselling, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology or Social Work and professional registration
  • Experience in injury management within an occupational rehabilitation context
  • Comcare accreditation beneficial
  • Ability to work effectively independently
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Effective relationship-building and time management skills
  • ABN and Professional Indemnity Insurance
  • Current driver's license and vehicle ownership
