About the Role

The Department of Education, Western Australia is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Principal to join our team. As a key member of the executive team, you will play a critical role in developing and promoting the school's vision and values.

You will work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and other stakeholders to implement the priorities of the School Plan, including delivering a viable and guaranteed curriculum across the phases of learning, and implementing school-wide Conditions for Learning.

To be successful in this role, you will have a thorough understanding of restorative practices and a passion for staff and student wellbeing. You will also have the ability to allocate resources through collaborative planning and timetabling to ensure that students receive a broad range of curriculum experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and promote the school's vision and values
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and other stakeholders to implement the priorities of the School Plan
  • Deliver a viable and guaranteed curriculum across the phases of learning
  • Implement school-wide Conditions for Learning
  • Allocate resources through collaborative planning and timetabling

Requirements

  • Registration with the Teachers Registration Board of Western Australia
  • Valid Working With Children Check
  • Consent to a National Criminal History Check
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and other stakeholders
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
