Senior Engineering Leadership Opportunity

We are seeking a seasoned engineering professional to lead and coordinate complex defence and national security projects that safeguard Australia's future.

The role is based onsite at Campbell Park, Canberra, where you will oversee and coordinate JP9101 engineering activities in support of EDHFCS acquisition. Your technical expertise will ensure the project meets capability requirements throughout the acquisition process.

Key responsibilities include managing and maintaining the JP9101 engineering documentation suite, providing formal engineering advice, and maintaining technical risk registers. You will also supervise the engineering team and support their professional development.

As an ideal candidate, you will have Chartered Professional Engineer status or eligibility through a recognised body, tertiary qualifications in Systems Engineering or equivalent experience, strong leadership and stakeholder engagement skills, and experience in Defence capability projects and knowledge of ODCS and ASDEFCON suite.

Due to the nature of the work, you must currently hold and maintain a minimum Negative Vetting 1 or higher Security clearance as required by the Commonwealth. In some instances, compliance with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) requirements may also be an inherent requirement.
