
Investigations Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Compliance Investigations Officer to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for conducting investigations into potential breaches of legislation administered by our agency. This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Your primary responsibility will be to undertake investigations into potential breaches of legislation, including job site operations. You will prepare investigation plans, manage high-volume caseloads, and apply best-practice investigative techniques such as offence elementisation, evidence matrix development, and conducting interviews. Additionally, you will prepare briefs of evidence for disciplinary, civil, or criminal proceedings, conduct proactive compliance activities including audits and surveillance, and provide advice to internal staff and external stakeholders on regulatory matters.
You will also represent our agency in educational activities and tribunal or court proceedings, deliver high-quality customer service, and support the day-to-day operations of our Regional Service Centre.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct investigations into potential breaches of legislation administered by our agency.
- Prepare investigation plans, manage high-volume caseloads, and apply best-practice investigative techniques.
- Prepare briefs of evidence for disciplinary, civil, or criminal proceedings.
- Conduct proactive compliance activities including audits and surveillance.
- Provide advice to internal staff and external stakeholders on regulatory matters.
- Represent our agency in educational activities and tribunal or court proceedings.
- Deliver high-quality customer service and support the day-to-day operations of our Regional Service Centre.
- Certificate IV in Investigation or equivalent qualifications.
- Minimum of three years' investigative experience, ideally in a government or regulatory environment.
- Strong alignment with our agency's vision and values, showing resilience, initiative, and a commitment to customer engagement.
- Ability to build relationships, communicate clearly, and uphold professional and legislative standards.
