Forensic Engineer Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Forensic Engineer to join our team. As a Forensic Engineer, you will be responsible for inspecting and reporting on building-related matters, providing technical advice and detailed scope of works and cost estimates in accordance with Australian Standards and Building Code of Australia.

The ideal candidate will have sound technical experience in Forensic Engineering, excellent technical report writing skills, and excellent client relationship and communication skills. They will also have high motivation, responsibility, sound judgement and customer focus.

The successful candidate will have the ability to perform in a fast-paced consulting environment with competing demands and will possess strong commercial and business sense.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (preferably structural engineering)
  • Chartered Engineer (CPEng) or National Engineering Register (NER) qualified
  • At least 3 years' experience as a Civil/Structural Engineer
  • Thorough knowledge of the Building Code of Australia and relevant Australian Standards
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment; preferably within the insurance industry
  • Ability to scope and estimate cost of repairs to domestic, commercial and industrial properties
  • Ability to support conclusions by appropriate expert testimony in legal proceedings
