We are seeking a skilled Senior / Associate Geotechnical Engineer to join our team in Queensland.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on diverse infrastructure, renewable, and development projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead geotechnical aspects of project teams, ensuring best practices are followed throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Scope and deliver geotechnical projects or components, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, resource allocation, and quality control.
  • Plan and supervise site investigations, including borehole drilling, in-situ testing, sampling, and monitoring.
  • Perform geotechnical analyses, including slope stability, bearing capacity, settlement, liquefaction assessment, and seismic response. Design foundations, earth retaining structures, ground improvement solutions, and pavements.
  • Prepare high-quality technical reports, feasibility studies, design documents, and specifications.
  • Identify geotechnical risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Nurture client relationships, attend meetings, and provide geotechnical advice and presentations.
  • Mentor and train junior graduate/early career geotechnical engineers and technicians.
  • Ensure all geotechnical activities comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations and company policies.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies, software, and methods in geotechnical engineering.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Engineering Geology, or a closely related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Chartered or Professional Engineer status (or eligibility) is highly desirable.
  • Approximately 5-10 years of relevant geotechnical engineering experience, ideally in consulting, infrastructure, or construction projects.
  • Demonstrated expertise in ground investigation, geotechnical analysis, and design of foundations, earthworks, and retaining structures.
  • Awareness and some growing experience in geotechnical software (e.g., PLAXIS, GeoStudio, Slope/W, Settle3D, LPILE, gINT, or equivalent).
  • Strong report writing, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to manage projects, budgets, and teams.
  • Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel to project sites as required.
