Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Senior Database Administrator to play a pivotal role in scaling our data systems. This position will be an integral part of product squads, working closely with engineers and tech leads to shape data strategies.

The successful candidate will own the performance, security, and availability of our PostgreSQL systems running in AWS (Aurora, RDS). They will collaborate with squads to design efficient data models, optimize queries, and ensure seamless feature delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Database Performance and Security: Own the performance, security, and availability of our PostgreSQL systems running in AWS (Aurora, RDS)
  • Data Modelling and Optimization: Work closely with squads to design efficient data models, optimize queries, and ensure seamless feature delivery
  • Bottleneck Resolution and Improvement: Diagnose and resolve slow queries and bottlenecks, and proactively improve performance at scale
