Job Title: Data Architect

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Data Architect to join our team. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of database architecture, design and development.

Main Responsibilities:

  • To design and implement large-scale databases for various clients.
  • To develop and implement data integration environments and research data management solutions.
  • To provide technical support and guidance to IT teams on database-related issues.
  • To maintain accurate records of database performance and provide regular reports to stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification (normally a degree) or demonstrated equivalent knowledge.
  • Significant experience and skills as well as a commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Experience in service management framework particularly in relation to incident, change and problem management.
  • Experience in Unix, programming languages including SQL and database tools.
  • Experience in supporting Oracle, MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MariaDB and modern methods of data integration.
  • Higher Education Sector experience is highly regarded.
