Job Summary

The Oracle Database Consultant will play a pivotal role in designing and building databases, schemas, stored procedures, and other database objects.

This position requires strong experience with Oracle Database ranging from 10g through to 19c across UNIX/Linux and Windows platforms.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and build databases, schemas, stored procedures, and other database objects
  • Establish routine database backup procedures and disaster recovery environments and procedures
  • Perform database recoveries
  • Assist developers and end-users with database usage, query development, and tuning
  • Develop operating system scripts to automate backups, data transfers, monitoring, etc
  • Support database connectivity from client applications
  • Design and implement database security
  • Provide direction to less senior DBAs and assist associate and intermediate DBAs with complex database tasks
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience as a database administrator with implementations, upgrades, migrations, conversions, and consolidation projects with Oracle databases
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to make quick and accurate decisions
  • Excellent interpersonal oral and written communication
