Australian Security Vetting Officer Role Overview
This is a pivotal position within our organization, supporting the Defense Industry Security Program (DISP) obligations and facilitating our transition from DISP Level 2 to Level 3 for Personnel Security (PERSEC) and Governance.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A comprehensive understanding of AGSVA processes and requirements.
- Experience with government security frameworks such as PSPF, DSPF, and Australian Privacy Principles.
- The ability to work independently, manage tasks effectively, and communicate clearly.
We seek an individual who demonstrates expertise in security vetting, ensuring compliance with government security frameworks. This role requires excellent communication skills and the capacity to work independently.
The primary responsibilities include:
Key Responsibilities- Maintaining security vetting governance, policies, and processes.
- Supporting the DISP uplift program from Level 2 to Level 3.
- Ensuring our organization adheres to DISP and AGSVA requirements.
- Managing security registers, compliance reporting, and assurance activities.
- Providing security vetting advice to projects and functional teams.
- Collaborating with Talent Acquisition to oversee staff security clearances.
- Supporting broader security reporting, training, and culture initiatives.
