Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and collaborative specialist in paediatric palliative care to join our dedicated team. This is a permanent, full-time position to provide holistic, family-centred care to children across the region.

Our hospital serves as a major paediatric referral centre for Northern NSW, caring for thousands of children and young people each year across emergency, inpatient, and outpatient services.

Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist paediatric palliative care across inpatient, outpatient, and community settings
  • Participate in after-hours support and statewide on-call advisory services
  • Collaborate with internal and external healthcare teams to ensure coordinated care
  • Contribute to education and training for medical students, junior doctors, nursing, and allied health staff
  • Engage in research, quality improvement, and service development initiatives
Requirements
  • Fellowship of the RACP and Australasian Chapter of Palliative Medicine (or equivalent)
  • Current specialist registration with AHPRA
  • Demonstrated experience in interdisciplinary teamwork and compassionate care delivery
  • Strong communication, leadership, and teaching skills
