As a compassionate Specialist in Paediatric Palliative Medicine, you will play a vital role in providing holistic care to children across the Hunter New England region and beyond.
Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Specialist to join our dedicated team of medical professionals. As a key member of the Paediatric Palliative Care Service, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality care to children with life-limiting conditions.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Providing specialist paediatric palliative care across inpatient, outpatient, and community settings
- Collaborating with internal and external healthcare teams to ensure coordinated care
- Contributing to education and training for medical students, junior doctors, nursing, and allied health staff
- Engaging in research, quality improvement, and service development initiatives
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP) and Australasian Chapter of Palliative Medicine (or equivalent)
- Current specialist registration with AHPRA
- Demonstrated experience in interdisciplinary teamwork and compassionate care delivery
- Strong communication, leadership, and teaching skills
