About Paediatric Palliative Care Specialist Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate paediatric palliative care specialist to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare service, you will provide expert care to children and their families across various settings.

You will work closely with internal and external healthcare teams to deliver coordinated care, participate in after-hours support and statewide on-call advisory services, and contribute to education and training for medical students, junior doctors, nursing, and allied health staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality patient care to children with life-limiting conditions
  • Participate in interdisciplinary teamwork to ensure comprehensive care
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Mentor and educate junior staff members
Requirements:
  • Fellowship of the RACP and Australasian Chapter of Palliative Medicine (or equivalent)
  • Current specialist registration with AHPRA
  • Demonstrated experience in compassionate care delivery and interdisciplinary teamwork
  • Strong communication, leadership, and teaching skills
