About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Operations Specialist to join our Commodities Global Markets business at Macquarie Bank Limited.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and appropriateness of Commodities Global Markets data, maintaining compliance with global regulations and internal policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage with stakeholders to determine data requirements and identify issues.
  • Design solutions, streamline processes, and coordinate testing and implementation of system/process changes.
  • Review current control frameworks and develop robust controls.
  • Navigate and interpret a wide range of data sources to ensure accurate representation of financial markets data.
  • Complete periodic reporting tasks, analysis of reporting, and use system validation and exception/control reports.
Requirements
  • 1-2 years of experience in a finance or accounting role, with the ability to detect breaks, anomalies, and issues pertaining to reporting.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Accounting, or a related domain, with a high level of academic achievement and knowledge of financial services or financial markets products.
  • Highly numerate with an ability to critically analyze, interrogate, interpret, and draw conclusions from multiple data sources.
  • Excel aptitude and strong Microsoft Office suite skills.
  • Confident conveying complex and technical requirements to peers and senior colleagues.
