Help Young People Achieve Independence

This role involves providing support to young people aged 15-25 who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.

The Role

A part-time, fixed-term position is available for our Outer North Youth Homelessness Service program.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Completing intake assessments to understand each young person's needs and goals.
  • Providing crisis support and conducting regular outreach to engage at-risk young people.
  • Working with clients to set goals and track their progress through case plans.
  • Overseeing tenancy for six supported properties, ensuring compliance with tenancy regulations.
  • Liaising with community and government services to secure housing and support for clients.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Social Work or a related discipline.
  • Experience in case management and working with young people with complex issues.
  • Understanding of homelessness and related issues.
