Social Media Communications Officer

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team of media, communications and marketing specialists.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting the development and implementation of our social media engagement strategy, style guidelines and governance procedures to achieve effective online engagement with communities.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and designing engaging social media content for varying online audiences;
  • Proactively engaging in online discussions across different social media platforms to promote crime prevention initiatives and maintain community confidence;
  • Collaborating with the digital intelligence, Media and Public Affairs and Crime Prevention teams to execute operational and organisational objectives;
  • Moderating high-priority social media content published across our platforms;
  • Educating and providing social media training to internal staff to ensure consistency of tone and approach to social media engagement;
  • Representing the Media and Public Affairs Group at meetings with clients and stakeholders.

Applicants should have formal qualifications and/or experience in communications, media and/or marketing.
