Job SummaryThe successful candidate will be responsible for leading the conversion and design elements of rail projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery. Key responsibilities include managing client expectations, interacting with authorities and utilities, developing design procurement strategies, and identifying and mitigating project risks.
Key Responsibilities- Provide support to the Project Leader to ensure client expectations are managed.
- Manage authorities and utilities interactions across the project lifecycle.
- Develop a design procurement strategy to ensure consultants understand project drivers.
- Engage cost planners to develop an overall cost plan and work with them to develop the design within budget.
- Support the Project Leader in developing an overall conversion program.
- Identify and understand key risks and opportunities in all aspects of the project.
- Ensure all works are completed in accordance with client quality requirements and Australian standards.
- Prepare project client reporting documentation and attend PCG meetings.
- Exposure to managing teams for delivery phase of construction.
- Experience managing Signalling and Communication construction projects and managing contractors.
- Degree in Engineering (Civil/Mechanical/Electrical) or Construction Management or equivalent.
- Understanding of design, problem-solving capabilities, and commercial acumen.
- Minimum of 10 years' experience in Rail Signalling preferred.
- Ability to communicate on all levels.
