
Automotive Electrical Equipment Specialist

This role involves designing, developing and installing ancillary equipment and systems for operational police vehicles according to Australian Design Rules.
- Assist in creating technical drawings, schematics and vehicle manuals to ensure compliance with the regulations.
- Diagnose faults and perform repairs, including refurbishment of parts, accessories and related equipment, ensuring readiness for installation in QPS vehicles.
- Use electronic diagnostic tools in workshop and field settings to identify and resolve issues.
- Follow established safety procedures to maintain a safe work environment and competently use hand and special tools and electronic diagnostic equipment.
The successful applicant will possess a current Queensland driver's license Class C or equivalent. A trade certificate qualification as an Automotive Electrician will be highly regarded, but not mandatory.
- Possession of qualifications, skills and knowledge deemed to be equivalent, together with demonstrated experience in automotive electrical, automotive accessory fitting and/or automotive trades environment are required.
The selected candidate will be located at Alderley and work under a 9-day fortnight working pattern. Uniforms will be provided. The application will remain active for 12 months, allowing suitable candidates to apply when ready.
