About the role

IMMEDIATE START

Become part of the Formula Automotive team as an Automotive Mechanic based in Stones Corner, Queensland workshop. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing and maintaining a wide variety of vehicles specializing in Subaru, Toyota and Hybrids, providing exceptional customer service and contributing to the growth and success of our thriving automotive business.

What you'll be doing

  1. Perform routine maintenance service, log book service and tyre rotations and balance.
  2. Ability to undertake minor and major vehicle repairs on various makes and models.
  3. Diagnose and repair complex mechanical, electrical and electronic issues across all vehicle systems.
  4. Test drive vehicles to ensure the proper functioning of repaired components.
  5. Provide honest and transparent feedback to customers on the condition of their vehicles.
  6. Actively contribute to a collaborative and efficient workshop environment.
  7. Maintain detailed records of all work undertaken and parts used.
  8. Ensure workshop tools and equipment are well-maintained.

What we're looking for

  1. Formal qualifications in Automotive Mechanics or a relevant trade certification recognized in Australia.
  2. Minimum 2-3 years' hands-on experience as an Automotive Mechanic in a similar fast pace workshop environment.
  3. A valid manual Drivers license is a MUST.
  4. Strong diagnostic skills and technical expertise across a wide range of vehicle makes and models.
  5. Excellent customer service orientation and communication abilities.
  6. Commitment to safety procedures and workplace regulations.
  7. Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a collaborative team.
  8. MUST provide your own tools.
  9. Specialized in Toyota, Subaru and Hybrid (not necessary but desirable).
