Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a skilled Tradesperson to join our team and contribute to the design, development, and installation of ancillary equipment and systems for operational police vehicles.

This is an exciting opportunity to utilize your technical expertise and work collaboratively with our team to enhance the operational capability of the Queensland Police Vehicle Fleet.

  • Develop and implement effective solutions for the design, development, and installation of ancillary equipment and systems in accordance with relevant Australian Design Rules.
  • Prepare and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and vehicle manuals to ensure compliance with Australian Design Rules.
  • Diagnostics and repairs, including refurbishment of parts, accessories, and related equipment, ensuring readiness for installation in QPS vehicles.
  • Utilize electronic diagnostic tools in workshop and field settings to identify and resolve issues.

Key Requirements:

  • Mandatory: Possession of a current Queensland driver's license Class C or equivalent license.
  • Trade certificate qualifications as a Tradesperson (Automotive Electrician) will be highly regarded.
  • Demonstrated experience in automotive electrical, automotive accessory fitting, and/or automotive trades environment.
