About the Role

The Clinical Nurse Specialist will be responsible for providing safe, effective and appropriate patient care in a patient-focused environment.

This role involves taking responsibility to ensure all aspects of patient care are of the highest standard, including assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating and leading peri-operative nursing care in collaboration with individuals and the multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess, plan, implement, evaluate and lead peri-operative nursing care in collaboration with individuals and the multidisciplinary healthcare team, to achieve goals and positive health outcomes.">
  • Take a key role in the leadership of the unit, being an accountable and autonomous nurse; acting in the best interest of the patient at all times and taking personal responsibility for own actions and decisions.">
  • Be responsible for patient assessment, planning of care, giving and supervising safe and compassionate care, and evaluating the effectiveness of care.">

Requirements

">

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

">

Post graduate qualification in perioperative orthopaedic nursing (not essential)

">

Recent clinical experience in perioperative orthopaedic nursing

">

AHPRA registration

">

Ability to work unsupervised, proficiently and in an organised manner during periods of high demand and activity, and provide clinical leadership

">

Demonstrated communication, interpersonal skills and customer service skills

">

A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission-based organisation

">

A desire to share your experiences and participate in the future growth and development of the unit, and assist in the education of staff within the perioperative unit

">

Commitment to ongoing professional development and quality improvements

Salary: $80,000 - $120,000 per annum, depending on experience
