About This Role

This Project Engineer position involves working closely with diverse stakeholders to ensure that infrastructure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to a high standard of quality.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate material requisitions and returns to minimize delays
  • Support the development and maintenance of project schedules to ensure smooth delivery
  • Communicate timelines and updates to field teams through clear and concise reporting
  • Collaborate with contractors to support progress and performance, ensuring that all parties work together effectively
  • Assist with financial tracking and design updates to ensure that projects stay on track
  • Review and manage open defects and contractor claims in a timely and efficient manner
Requirements:
  • A tertiary qualification in Civil, Electrical, or Telecommunications Engineering (or equivalent)
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in a similar role, preferably in a leadership capacity
  • A solid understanding of telecommunications pit and pipe, and aerial optic fibre infrastructure, including installation and maintenance procedures
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with stakeholders and subcontractors, facilitating effective collaboration and problem-solving
  • Experience in project reporting and performance tracking, with a focus on data analysis and metrics-driven decision-making
