Project Manager Lead

The Department delivers and maintains essential social housing and critical infrastructure across Western Australia.

This includes schools, hospitals and police facilities. The department manages tenancy services, supports housing provision in remote Aboriginal communities, and oversees government employee accommodation.

About This Role:

The Project Director will oversee the managing contractor's design and construction deliverables to ensure compliance with the contract and performance brief as well as to approved scope, budget and timeframe parameters.

They will lead a multi-functional team including the State's technical advisory consultants.

The successful applicant will have demonstrated experience in the design management and contract management of complex major infrastructure projects and evidence leadership behaviours that drive a 'one team' collaborative approach between the managing contractor and key stakeholders to achieve project objectives.

  • Strong technical project management skills across the full project life cycle, including demonstrated experience in all aspects of major project delivery, including design management, contract management, procurement, scheduling.
  • A well-rounded leader and effective manager of project teams and work groups who can support team members to develop and implement processes, systems and model drive behaviours that enable effective project delivery.
  • Compliance with government, agency and public sector policy and process.
  • Establishing and maintaining strategic relationships with internal and external stakeholders and contributing towards an innovative customer focused high-performing and values-led organisational culture.
