Water infrastructure projects require meticulous planning and coordination to deliver high-quality results. A Senior Civil Engineer plays a pivotal role in ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet the required standards.

The ideal candidate will have experience in consulting or engineering within the water industry, a strong understanding of civil engineering principles, and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. They will be responsible for managing and assisting in the design management, project management, and civil engineering tasks related to water and wastewater infrastructure.

The successful candidate will possess excellent technical skills, including proficiency in creating engineering drawings, reports, and presentations. They will also have strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling them to collaborate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and team members.

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled engineer to join a dynamic team and contribute to the delivery of outstanding water infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will have a healthy workload focused on water supply and sewerage schemes, working closely with key water authorities in New South Wales.

About the role:

  • Project Delivery: Plan, program, and coordinate specific projects with the Project Manager to deliver agreed outputs on budget, on time, and to quality standards.
  • Civil Engineering: Manage and assist in the civil engineering, design management, and project management from planning, feasibility/concept design, detailed design, and construction support of water and wastewater infrastructure as lead or member of a larger team.
  • Engineering Design Tasks: Perform broad, varied, and diverse water and wastewater infrastructure engineering design tasks, including engineering drawings, engineering reports, presentations, and required applications to regulatory and/or funding agencies.

Requirements:

  • Relevant professional experience in consulting or engineering within the water industry.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering – Civil or Environmental Engineering or equivalent.
  • Chartership/ RPEQ or working towards.
  • Strong technical experience in potable water supply, gravity and pumped sewerage systems, and recycled water networks.
