We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team at the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS). As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in identifying, securing, managing, and optimizing institutional funding from various technical donors, including the Australian Government through DFAT and other bodies.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively identify and pursue new funding opportunities to create a diversified and sustainable funding base to support the implementation of our Global Health Strategy and Program in the Indo-Pacific region.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including donors, partners, and colleagues, to ensure effective collaboration and communication.
- Conduct thorough research and analysis to identify potential funding sources and develop compelling proposals to secure funding.
- Manage complex, donor-funded programs in the Indo-Pacific region, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in the field of international development and fundraising, applying this knowledge to inform our organization's strategies and initiatives.
Requirements
- Post-graduate qualification in a relevant field, such as business, international development, or a related field, supported by extensive experience in not-for-profit fundraising.
- Proven track record of effective relationship management, strategy development, and project management.
- Excellent research, writing, and project management skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience working with complex, donor-funded programs in the Indo-Pacific region, with a strong understanding of DFAT accreditation and ACFID and CID assessment.
