About The Role

The role requires visiting clients in their own homes across the Northshore, providing essential emotional and spiritual support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide pastoral care and support to clients, relevant families and staff
  • Act as a point of contact for internal and external support/referral services
  • Share pastoral expertise and coach staff to support the spiritual needs of clients
  • Facilitate regular carer support groups and network with other religious leaders and services
  • Liaise with managers, case managers and attend staff and case management meetings as required
  • Develop and implement tailored resources to enhance the spiritual and emotional wellbeing of clients and families

Requirements:

We are seeking someone who is committed to engaging and aligning with our Christian Mission, Motivation and Mission in Action. Key requirements include:

  • A strong understanding and experience of people living at home with life-limiting illness, including dementia and journeys of grief and bereavement
  • Experience in palliative care and a strong personal and active Christian faith
  • Theological /Pastoral Care qualifications and experience
  • Demonstrated capacity to pastorally care for and enhance the wellbeing of those in need
  • Highly developed communication skills, including listening, compassion and empathy
