About The Role
The role requires visiting clients in their own homes across the Northshore, providing essential emotional and spiritual support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide pastoral care and support to clients, relevant families and staff
- Act as a point of contact for internal and external support/referral services
- Share pastoral expertise and coach staff to support the spiritual needs of clients
- Facilitate regular carer support groups and network with other religious leaders and services
- Liaise with managers, case managers and attend staff and case management meetings as required
- Develop and implement tailored resources to enhance the spiritual and emotional wellbeing of clients and families
Requirements:
We are seeking someone who is committed to engaging and aligning with our Christian Mission, Motivation and Mission in Action. Key requirements include:
- A strong understanding and experience of people living at home with life-limiting illness, including dementia and journeys of grief and bereavement
- Experience in palliative care and a strong personal and active Christian faith
- Theological /Pastoral Care qualifications and experience
- Demonstrated capacity to pastorally care for and enhance the wellbeing of those in need
- Highly developed communication skills, including listening, compassion and empathy
