About the Role

The Commercial Planning Analyst is a key member of the commercial team at Diageo, responsible for supporting strategic commercial initiatives and optimizing operational processes. This role requires a strong blend of analytical skills and critical thinking to ensure that the company's commercial operations are efficient, scalable, and aligned with overall business goals.

The Commercial Planning Analyst will work closely with the commercial team to develop and implement commercial strategies, analyze data to inform business decisions, and identify opportunities for process improvement. This role will also involve collaborating with cross-functional teams, including marketing, finance, and demand planning, to ensure alignment and effective execution of commercial initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Commercial Process Optimization: The Commercial Planning Analyst will be responsible for identifying areas for process improvement and implementing changes to optimize commercial operations. This will involve analyzing data, developing and implementing new processes, and ensuring that changes are communicated effectively to stakeholders.
  • Commercial Strategy Development: The Commercial Planning Analyst will work with the commercial team to develop and implement commercial strategies that align with business objectives. This will involve analyzing market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity to inform strategy development.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: The Commercial Planning Analyst will be responsible for analyzing data to inform business decisions and providing regular reporting to stakeholders. This will involve developing and maintaining reports, dashboards, and other data visualizations to communicate key insights and trends.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in commercial planning, operations, or a related role within a fast-paced business environment.
  • Proven track record of implementing process improvement and optimizing commercial operations.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
  • Proficiency in commercial planning tools, CRM systems, and data analytics software.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
