Job Opportunity: Lead Health and Nutrition Strategist

We are seeking an accomplished professional to join our team as the Lead Health and Nutrition Strategist. You will play a pivotal role in providing technical support and strategic guidance to help the dairy industry achieve its sustainability commitments.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop policy research, analysis, and advice to the Australian dairy industry on issues within the Australian Dairy Sustainability Framework, Pillar 2, Improved Wellbeing of people
  • Identify issues, develop evidence, and coordinate input into sustainable food and nutrition policy and regulatory proposals for the dairy industry
  • Monitor relevant policy and regulatory developments and communicate those to stakeholders within and external to the dairy industry

Requirements:

  • A tertiary qualification in Nutrition Science, Public Policy, or a related field
  • A good understanding of food and nutrition policy and regulatory developments at national and international levels
  • Capability in developing evidence-based policy in a multi-disciplinary team environment
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to handle multiple issues concurrently and prioritise tasks effectively
  • Capacity to convey complex evidence to different stakeholders
