About the Role

The General Manager of an English Language Institute leads and manages the institute, overseeing its brand, positioning within the University and international markets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with senior university officials to ensure student recruitment targets are met and direct marketing and promotion of ELI pathway programs to support international enrolment goals.
  • Maintain and develop pathways into Deakin University and Deakin College, ensuring high student satisfaction.
  • Lead a multifunctional team, including workforce planning, recruitment, and professional development of teachers.
  • Drive business development in a competitive market and ensure compliance across ELI programs.
  • Conduct environmental scanning, engage with industry experts, and set ELI's strategic direction.

Requirements:

  • Degree, Post Graduate Qualifications TESOL qualifications and extensive relevant experience in English Language Training programs.
  • Extensive experience in leadership and management of English Language Training (ELT) programs in a university ELICOS setting.
  • Experience in International context marketing and business development.
  • Experience managing revenue and expenditure budgets.
