CQEnglish is currently seeking expressions of interest from qualified and experienced English Language Teaching professionals.

CQEnglish is a NEAS Quality Endorsed centre offering courses in English for Academic Purposes for adult learners on pathways into CQUniversity degree programs. Our students benefit from our commitment to excellence in learning and teaching within a supportive and friendly environment.

We are currently seeking expressions of interest from qualified and experienced English Language Teaching professionals to join our team. Appointments will be made on a casual contract basis.

Please note this vacancy is for a casual pool only. Your expression of interest will remain valid until the end of 2025. You will only be contacted if selected for appropriate casual work as it becomes available.

Selection criteria

Qualifications (essential): Recognised TESOL certificate (100 contact hours plus at least six hours of supervised and assessed practice teaching in TESOL) or a degree/diploma in education with TESOL methodology.

Experience: At least 2 years of full-time equivalent English Language teaching experience, preferably at a recognised and quality-endorsed Australian institution. Experience teaching English for Academic Purposes courses is also preferred.

Qualities: Proven ability to teach English as a second language in a multicultural classroom. Willingness to participate actively in professional development and contribute positively to a culture of continuous learning. Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to lead and collaborate within teams. A strong commitment to a customer-service-oriented approach to education.
