Senior Mechanical Engineer
As a seasoned mechanical engineer, you will be part of a global engineering team delivering services across various commodities.
The Role:
You will lead the design, development, and evaluation of mechanical systems and equipment, focusing on delivering safe, efficient, and cost-effective solutions for mining and metals projects. Key responsibilities include:
  • Designing, modifying, and evaluating mechanical systems and equipment.
  • Providing technical input during equipment procurement and supporting cost estimates, field investigations, and client discussions.
  • Preparing designs, drawings, reports, and proposals in collaboration with other engineering disciplines, clients, contractors, and vendors.
  • Mentoring junior engineers as needed to ensure knowledge transfer and skill development.

Requirements:
Applicants should possess a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) and have 8-10 years' experience in mining/mechanical engineering or 12-14 years without a degree. A strong foundation in mechanical design, systems, and materials handling equipment is essential. Familiarity with CAD tools and industry codes, standards, and construction practices is also required. Clear communication skills are vital for success in this role.
